List of ingredients:
5 unripe plantain bananas +or -
Frying oil
2 tablespoons of salt
2 tablespoons of sugar
Optional
2 tablespoons of white vinegar to crisp
1 Tsp Indian Curry
1/2 tsp red pepper (sweet or hot depending on taste)
Preparation
1- Peel the bananas and reduce into skinny slices.
2- Fill a salad bowl with water and dip the plantain banana ends for about 5 to 10 min with a little vinegar for crunch.
3-When they have soaked well, drain them drop them in a dish and sprinkle a nice pinch of salt.
4- Turn on your deep fryer and heat the oil to 180°C. Fry the banana chips for 5 to 10 minutes according to your taste.
5-When the chips are cooked, place them on absorbent paper to remove the excess oil.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and spices (curry and pepper) and mix well. Sprinkle the spicy mix over the bananas and it's good
to go!
