Ingredients

The Sacher Cake is a sweet that is prepared with a chocolate base and requires certain ingredients that are found in the vast majority of Mexican homes. Especially, those who are lovers of homemade pastries. These are:


  • 200 grams of sugar.
  • 6 eggs.
  • 70 grams of crushed almonds.
  • 200 grams of chocolate bar.
  • 100 grams of cream.
  • 200 grams of apricot jam.
  • 200 grams of dark chocolate.
  • 250 grams of butter.
  • 100 grams of wheat flour.
  • Chantilly to decorate.

Steps

Despite the years, this recipe is still preserved as the original, since no modifications have been made to it, preserving the mixture of its flavors and its essence. To prepare the Sacher cake you simply have to do the following:


Step 1

In a bowl place the butter and sugar. Then, with the help of a mixer, start beating until the sugar is smooth.


Step 2

Add the egg yolk slowly so that the ingredients are integrated and form a homogeneous mixture.


Step 3

In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate over medium heat or in the microwave. Then, pour in the previous mixture and integrate the flour together with the crushed almonds.

Step 4

Beat the white of the eggs until stiff and add them to the mixture to make the chocolate cake.

Pour the mixture into a previously floured mold and preheat the oven to 180 °C. Next, bake the cake for 30 minutes or until the toothpick comes out dry. Let cool and unmold.


Step 6

When the cake is cool, cut it into two layers. Then, in a container, place the first layer and spread the jam evenly. Then cover it with the other layer.

In a saucepan, melt the chocolate bar, add the cream to cover the entire cake. Then decorate it with Chantilly and place it in the refrigerator.
