 Ingredients


⅔ cup shortening


1 ⅔ cups white sugar


3 eggs


1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour


⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder


1 cup sourdough starter


¾ teaspoon baking soda


½ teaspoon baking powder


1 teaspoon salt


¾ cup cold water


1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sourdough Chocolate Cake

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 tiers F (175 stages C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch cake pan.


Step 2
