Recipe for 6 people
Preparation time: 180 minutes
- 2 cups strong flour for bread
- ¾ cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of salt
- Cda of instant yeast
- 2 CDs of vegetable oil
- 3 Cdas of water
- 1 tbsp of vanilla
- 4 CDs of sugar
- 1 Cda of ground cinnamon
- crush of nutmeg.
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
Preparation
Let’s start by adding the yeast to the water and leaving it to stand for about 5 minutes.
After this time we will mix the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Add the oil and water with yeast and mix with a ladle.
We pass the dough to the table and knead for 5 minutes or until the dough looks very smooth and without lumps.
Grease the bowl, place the dough and cover. Let it grow for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Let’s prepare the slow cooker by covering it with parchment paper.
After the hour we are going to mix the sugar from the filling together with cinnamon and nutmeg. We are going to mix the vanilla with water.
We will stretch the dough until we reach a rectangle that has a thickness of about 1 cm.
We paint the surface with a little vanilla water. Not much, enough to make it sticky.
Cover with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
We make a whole roll and break it along.
We interlace the two pieces of bread and place them in the slow cooker prepared with parchment.
Cover the pot with a piece of paper towel.
We put it to cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes in HIGH. It is not necessary to let the bread grow as it grows in the pot.
After that time we take out the bread, paint it with the melted butter and take it to the oven in BROIL for 5-7 minutes or until it looks golden.
