healthy salad dressing
This easy fruit dip is made with sweetened fresh fruit that you pick with crunchy homemade cinnamon chips. It's a delicious summer dip that's perfect for parties and potlucks!
Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, tops removed and diced
- 2 Kiwi, peeled and finely diced
- 1 granny apple, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 mango, peeled and finely diced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 lemon
- Cinnamon chips:
- 6 flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
fruit sauce:
- location all of the diced fruit in a large bowl.
- Sprinkle the sugar over the fruit, then moisten the lemon over the fruit (make sure to remove the seeds!). Toss fruit until well coated.
- Cover fruit and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Cinnamon chips:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Brush melted butter over tortillas making sure to butter them on both sides.
- Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut the tortillas into small pieces.
- Place tortillas in a gallon bag or large resealable container. Add the cinnamon sugar, seal the bag and shake until the potatoes are coated in the cinnamon sugar.
- set up the tortilla pieces in a single layer on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for approximately 7 mins or until crisp.
- Let cool completely before serving.
